Life is Like Soccer

Teammates
Soccer is a team sport and it cannot be played by one person. Therefore, having teammates whom you trust and care about is very important. This page is dedicated to those that are considered my "teammates" in life. Without these people I would not be who I am. All my "teammates" are very important to me and I cherish all of them like they are family because they will always be there for me and vice versa.
Introduce Yourself Assignment
One of the most important parts of meeting people or making new friends is an introduction. When one of our first assignments was to introduce ourselves, I thought hard about how I should present myself so that everyone can now a little bit about me and hopefully relate. This was especially challenging due to the fact that this class was online and I myself love to interact with people face to face. However, I did my introduction and included many things that were interesting about me and things that others could hopefully relate to and after, when I read the comments others made on my post I realized that even though we all don't know each other we all have at least one thing in common. And this helped me to be closer to my classmates, and just like in soccer, you can't function like a well oiled machine if you don't know how the other parts work. This helped me with the group projects a lot during the semester.
Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity
To me having more friends and people that I know is like an addiction. I want to know more people, I want to have more friends. One of the reasons being is due to the fact that I was put into an orphanage by my real parents and it was hard, especially since I was old enough to understand what was going on. I remember struggling to make friends and seeing everyone else being happy with their group of friends. Eventually I did make a friend and I too was happy but that did not last long as he was soon adopted out. So I made a promise to myself that if ever I was adopted, I would make a group of friends that I would have for life. This is the exact reason why I joined a fraternity because it is not just for a short four years that we will know each other but for life. There are many other Delta Sigma Phi guys around the U.S. and the world so by joining this organization I have already accomplished one of my many goals in life.
Friends
Like I have mentioned several times already, I can never have enough friends and I always want to know more people and have more friends. I am generally a very social person and I have a lot of different friend groups that I am apart of. I tend to bring them all together and make one big group so everyone knows each other. Part of the reason is because of what I mentioned in the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity subsection, and the other is because I love being around people. I'm an extrovert and I thrive when I'm around others.
